The meaning and origin of the Name Kalliyan

My name is Kalliyan. The name Kalliyan is of Cambodian origin and means several things such as “Classy”, “The Best”, “Morally and ethically good” and or "Superior Quality" . The origin of the name Kalliyan is actually from India like many things in Cambodia and South East Asia.  It is derived from the name Kalyan which is used in India and Cambodia which has similar meanings in both countries.

My Mother is ethnically a Cambodian or Khmer however she was born in Vietnam thus making her what they call “Kampuchea Krom”. Hence half my family live in Vietnam but practice Cambodian cultures. My Father is Australian so the other half of my family live in Australia.
