Their was a brief period when you could take tours of Angkor Wat at night. Lights where place inside the Temple and were left there permanently well at least until they removed them but many of the lights and wiring were put out every day and then removed in the morning. The electrical safety of the Whole operation was a nightmare.

The reason given for the stopping of the tours I think was either the cables were causing damage or the extra light was causing damage. Nobody will ever Know the real reason just like most other decisions made by governments.

There were several different colours of light that they rotated through all giving a unique image. Of course the camera in my hands cant really reflect the complete scene or spectacular that it was.
